While we spent most time in the presence of Borough Bonfire Society, the night at Lewes Bonfire 2017 did allow for getting some photos of other bonfire societies processions. We caught up with Cliffe Bonfire Society at their assembly point after the completion of their processions - including the most impressive Donald Trump effigy complete with Little Rocket Man Kim Jong-Un.
The next photos are of participants in the Commercial Square Bonfire Society procession passing along Lewes High Street a little earlier in the evening.
South Street Bonfire Society were carrying some rather different 'effigies' - it must be the 50th anniversary of the making of Jungle Book but was it really necessary to send Mowgli up in flames? And I'm not sure who The Lost 300 were but was the guy in the cage going to finish up on a bonfire too? :)
