On the final day of Great Escape Festival I was joined by my wife whose job takes her away from the first two days - so the music today also reflected her choices, a little anyway, we can't let things get too out of hand...
Downstairs at The Walrus, the day kicked off with Montreal duo The Beat Escape treating the Great Escape to their mellow electronic dance vibes.
It was then down Brighton pier to Horatios where the trio Wyldest played their accessible indie songs.
After the gig, Wyldest were outdoors in Horatios' beer garden at the end of Brighton pier for what may have been an interview but definately was a photoshoot.
At the Fender stage at Patterns played the impressive Hattie Briggs - an appearance no doubt something to do with her being named Fender Undiscovered Artist of the Year 2017.
Again at Patterns, a semi-acoustic set by two members of Stereo Honey and I could relate to why the band were tipped for bigger things in the year ahead.
A minor distraction between the two stages at the Great Escape on the Beach, the FA Cup Final shown live on a TV screen. I wonder if the Royal Wedding earlier in the day garnered greater interest?
K-Phax was joined on the Beach House stage by a not-so-random audience member standing near us to do a rap routine.
The Marlborough Pub and Theatre venue - home for several Alternative Escape performances. The exterior has been given a going over since we last visited!
We finished the evening watching American Brian Christinzio (now based in Manchester) and his band BC Camplight at the Sallis Benney Theatre
