A November 2020 walk around Waterhall Golf Course, Brighton, recently closed by Brighton and Hove Council and being re-wilded. The club house area was deserted and the course is now perhaps home to as many dog walkers as there were once golfers. There were no tee markers to number the holes but at least the bench still remembers Tony Tapp. Many of the fairways are now a home for conservation grazing by cattle, the cow pats will help the flora return but they also deter casual golf! The satellite imagery helped me trace the path of each of the holes, the fairways being quite clear whenever this image was taken, but will they still be visible from space next time around? Perhaps it is only at ground level the shapes of the tees and the bunkers will give the golf course away.
