I arrived in Naples from Venice at about 1pm. I had one aim - to wander the streets to the the Bay of Naples, which in a straight line was less than a mile from the hotel, but unfortunately in this area somebody had put a great big shipping port in the way. One lesson learned - to study the maps more closely!
It didn't matter, because I had a great time not getting to see the sea in all the glorious scruffiness of this wonderful city. I took lots of people-centric street photos - but what you see here concentrates more on the overall atmosphere of those streets.
These photos and others including lots of black and white street photos are now at my Naples photo gallery.
